Basically when I use scale it looks how I want on th epreview - but when exported it's reverted back how the clip originally looked before applying the effect. I'll get some screen shots put up later whn I get home. Thanks for your help

I'm trying to get a clip to be in the same aspect ratio as the rest of the project. Everything is in 16.9 except for two clips. I used the zoom effect set to 16.9 to change the size of the image on these two clips, then I went in to scale and matched the black bars up to the rest of the project. In preview it all looks seamless. When I export to avi, the black bars are higher up than I set them - in other words the clips seem to zoom in on export - anyone now how I can export this project so it does what it shows in the preview?

When I export my file to avi - the image pixelates badly whenever there is any white or bright light in the image. Also some clips appear in a different aspect ratio even though they were the same size on the sequence time line...

Hi everyone, I'm new to this so here's a newbie question: I have a project in which I would like to cut in a clip into a pre-existing sequence, how would I slot it in between two existing clips? whenever I make a split I can't move the movie file along so I can insert the other clip that I want to add - does that make sense? Thanks for any advice
