  1. I just downloaded Express Rip, and have been ripping CDs over the holiday. I am consistently seeing three problems. 1) Some of the CDs that I try to rip (all of them today so far) pop up an error message: "The disk you have inserted in the selected drive is not a proper audio CD (i.d. the files are not of .cda format). there is no guarantee that Express Rip will be able to properly rip tracks from this disc." But they are commercially purchased CDs. And they seem to work anyway. 2) Ripped songs do not come with their ID3 tags loaded at all. Tags are blank. this is probably the most serious issue that I have with Express Rip. 3) About 1 in 10 CDs that I've tried to rip complains that it cannot access the freedb database. When that happens, that CD can NEVER access it, even though the rest of the CDs can. The error message is not that the CD is not listed in the database (unlikely in this case!), but that the database cannot be accessed. I would expect that error to affect ALL CDs or none of them. Not 1 in 10. Any ideas? Thanks! Evan
