Hallo, according to the version history the latest version of Videopad should be 3.81. But when I download the german version I always get version 3.59. Is there no german version for 3.81 available? When I download an english version from chip.de it is 3.81. Best regards - Ulrich

Hallo, I tried to apply a fade in and fade out effect to a video. Works quite fine but there is one problem left: I set the duration to about 2 seconds but the effect lasts only 1 second. I. e. at fade in the video is already completely visible after one second. At fade out the video starts fading at 2 seconds before end and is dark after 1 second. The remaining second the video stays dark. What can I do to fix this? Best regards - Ulrich

Thank you for this reply. That reads good! Can you already tell when the next version will be available? This was a little complicated as my cropping region was at the bottom, so I had to apply a "Position" effect additionally. But the result is fine! Are you a member of the development team?

Thank you for further answers and to Einstein for testing it so detailed. In the meantime I installed and tested Magix Video Deluxe and the result is much better: Procedure was the same: Cropping to about 70%, "Fill image" checked, Export to 640x480. Poor performance of Videopad! I liked and buyed it because it is so easy to handle but no I encounter its limits.

No, the original clip was Full HD and I exported to 640x480. I used H264 at a quality level of 20 which produces an excellent quality in other videos. The poor quality is already visible in the sequence preview of Videopad, thus it is no issue of exporting

Hallo, with my last video I encountered the problem that the quality after cropping and resizing ist very poor. The original video is Full HD. I cropped an area of aspect ratio 4:3 and about 70 % height and checked "Zoom to cropped area". When exporting I choosed a size of 640x480 px. This is a screenshot of the resulting video: You can see that the picture is strongly pixelated. For comparison I did the same procedure with my image processing software (Paintshop X5): You can see that the quality is much better. Hallo, in my recent video it is necessary to apply the crop effect with different settings, so that the clipping changes while playing the video. This should not happen apruptly but the clipping should change smoothly so that there is a zoom effect. Hallo and thank you for the new answers. Yes, I have cut my initial clip into several pieces, deleted some of the resulting clips and moved the remaining ones. At the end I had about ten single clips in one sequence. Now I wanted to change the cropping effect for all clips and found no way to do this. Selecting all the clip by using the Ctrl-Key did not work. Another approch, linking the clips, had no effect on applying the crop effect. Unfortunately saving the settings did not work. (My version is 3.33) Money back is not possible as I have the program for more than 30 days already. I worked around my problem by removing all effects, saving the clip in low compression and reloading it in a new project where I had only one clip. Unfortunately Videopad seemed to have problems with my lossless codecs (Lagarith and Huffy). (Poor audio quality, crash).

Hallo Borate, no, unfortunately the drop-down box doesn't display the name of the saved setting although I saved them directly before. That's too bad. Joining clips seems to be impossible either. Now I've used a workaroung by removing all effects and saving as an intermediate video. This one I loaded again and applied the cropping.Seems to me that buying Videopad was a decision completely wrong! Thanks for your help and best regards - Ulrich

Hallo, I'm just editing a video and at the beginning I applied the crop effect to it and choosed the ascpect ratio 16:9. Then I cut the video into several clips, dropped some and rearranged the remaining. Now my video consists of several distinct clips. Then I changed my mind and prefer a 4:3 ratio. No problem to change the effect but I didn't succed in applying the changes to all of my clips. I grouped them but this didn't help. I selected them all by using the CTRL key but this didn't work either. There is a "save" button in the effects window but I didn't find out how to load the saved settings. How can I apply the changed effect to all of my clips so that the settings are precisely identical? Any help is appreciated. Best regards - Ulrich

Hallo, some time ago I edited a video and was able to adjust the sound level in a very detailed way: A green line was displayed, where I could set points and drag them down. In this way it was possible to reduce the loudness of individual sections very exactly. Now, when I'm editing another video, unfortunately I am not able to find this feature again.
