This has started happening to me. Crackling all the way through and the playback jumps slightly. I am using a licensed version 2.26 on windows 8.1

I am now finding that music recorded via soundtap has a very deep bass and some reverb. May be co-incidental but seems to have started since upgrading to 8.1. Any ideas? Thanks
