  1. Let me ask you, are you running any other processes on the machine while you are doing this? How many lines are you running? I have had a similiar problem, but I only had the problems when I was doing something like watching streaming videos on the internet, or doing something else on the machine. I now use a dedicated machine, and that seemed to solve the problem. Try making several calls into the IVM, and see if it happens on ALL the calls or just some of them. David Slaton
  2. Dear Andy, There are two approaches I would try. If you open your outbound OGM, then click on the Key Response method, you will see a list of the keys on the keypad and a drop-down combo box. Try using the Transfer call, and type in EXACTLY what a person would have to dial to transfer the call (if you need a slight pause in the dialing, you can use a comma. A comma is a half-second pause.) If you are trying to send them to another OGM or a mailbox, you would use a similiar method. Also try using the Dial method out of the same tab. I would advise you that when you are doing ANY work on an outbound OGM, it is a lot easier if you set the OGM that you are working on as the Default Answer OGM (you will see this on the main screen right next to the On button), and try calling in. This will help you to diagnose if it is a problem with the voice modem you are using. Even if you have problems with answer or answerining machine detection you should not have the problems if it is an INBOUND call. You should do this first, because if you are having a hardware problem, you will lose your mind trying to fix it on the IVM side. I actually switched to VOIP, because this was a way that the IVM is no longer hardware dependent. I am in the USA, and I use the voip provider www.inphonex.com. Let me know if this works, and if not I will try to replicate the problem on my end. Or you can email me the IVM you are working on and I can take a look at it. Your Truly, David Slaton P.S. I think it would make it a lot easier for everyone on the boards that if they come up with a solution, even if it is for a problem they posted themselves, it would be best for EVERYONE if they could post it in the forums. If you are having the problem, you can bet there are a lot more people having that same problem. TEAM = Together Each Achieves More

    Outbound Calls

Dear Italy, I would like to know how you have managed to make outbound calls on 6 lines at the same time. Are all six calls going out at the same time, or is it 1 outbound line and the rest inbound? Please let me know how you did this. 4. I am in the US, and putting *67 in front of the number will block caller ID
  5. Has anyone figured out how to make the IVM make multiple outbound calls at the same time? It seems that it will autodial on one line and go consecutively through the list. I would like to have it make outbound calls on as many lines as possible. HELP ME OUT! Yours Truly, David Slaton fundraisingpro@yahoo.com P.S. I am using VOIP, IVM v. 3.07, and Windows XP
  6. I use the IVM without a voicemodem, and it works just fine for what I am doing. David Slaton
  7. The heck with hardware... Try using VOIP
  8. If you guys figure this out, let me know.. David Slaton fundraisingpro@yahoo.com
  9. Dear Chris, I am assuming that you dial 9 1 and then the number... OK,,, when you dial as a human, there is probably a small pause that you do either when calling the 9 or the 1 while you are waiting for the outbound line. If you put in a comma, this will give you a half second pause. If needed, try putting in several commas. Let me know if this works.. Yours Truly, David Slaton fundraisingpro@yahoo.com
  10. I used Vonage with the IVM for outbound telemarketing. I could not directly connect the IVM to vonage without purchasing their router. Also, they are not truly unlimited. In the terms of service, you agree to let them switch you to any plan that they feel is more appropriate if you have high usage. They switched me to a plan when I was about to order 3 more lines from them (I already had 3). When I went to check my account before ordering the new lines, I found out that they had billed me 400 dollars in a 3 day period. Also the router that they sell you is hardwired only to work with Vonage. My suggestion? Switch to www.inphonex.com. I have used them, and it has worked both as a soft phone with the IVM, and with a regular phone plugged into a router. However, you will have to buy another router if you want to use a regular landline phone. The Vonage router is hardwired and you can't use it with any other service. I hope this was helpful. 11. Dear Michele, Sounds like you're doing a little outbound telemarketing, huh? Well, you should have no problem. I have set the dialer going for days on end and had no problem. Now, if you are ONLY doing outbound dialing, what I suggest you do is make a new OGM named something clever like HANGUP. One of the problems you will run into when making this volume of calls is that people will call you back off of the caller ID, and god only knows what they will do at that point... Pressing buttons, etc. Or calling and leaving THEIR phone off of the hook.. So, what you do is set up an OGM named Hangup. Where it says Out Going Message Audio, you can record a second of silence. If you REALLY want to get fancy, you can record whatever message they play in the UK for a disconnected number. I prefer a second of silence so it will get them off of the phone faster. In the next box where it says End of the Message, set both Wait and Repeat to 0. Where it says Then, select Hangup (Immediate). Make sure List as an Answer OGM has a check mark. Now, on the main screen where it says Default Answer OGM, select the new OGM you have created, Hangup. Now, when these jerks call in and screw up your dialer, it will pick up the phone, and then hang up on them immediately. Write me back and let me know if this solved your problem. Or if you Email me a copy of your OGM, I will take a look at it for you. Yours Truly, David Slaton fundraisingpro@yahoo.com
