  1. Thank you so much for your assistance. I now have a beautiful introduction for my expected YouTube channel. I found your directions easy to follow, even to turn down the loud audio. Now I have a beautiful intro and am having the same problem with my extro. There may be something atypical about my software. A job that should have been easy is impossible. All I am trying to do is to put my video and audio on the timeline together without a vertical hole. Shouldn't that be easy? I've done it many times before. Is there any way I can get a screen shot of the problem to you. I'm so sorry to be like the bad penny that keeps turning up, but this one has me baffled.

  3. I'll try it. -0-0- It didn't work. Audio is a single track unlinked from the video. I tried pulling the tracks together, which should be a simple thing, but they wouldn't go together. I am wondering if the extensions should be exactly alike. These are .mp3 and .mp4. I''m wondering if they should be exactly alike. But I thought the video was .mp4 and the audio was .mp3 (or the other way around) and that was as close as they would go. Do you have any other suggestions? What is a portable project folder?
  4. I am trying to add audio to my beautiful video, but they won't go together. In the timeline I have video up to a point and then the audio begins, and I can't figure out how to get them together. I am using the trial version of VP, Windows 10 and the Chrome browser, watching my extensions carefully and now have .mp3 and .mp4 on the audio and video respectively. Can anyone hazard a guess at what I'm doing wrong?
  5. Thank you. I already figured that out. Fortunately, I had the project saved.
  6. How do I remove text from a video that has already gone thru the rendering process and made into a MP4?

    Sequences

I just had a thought before I upload. My sequences are split so ONE video will be okay. I can upload that without worry. But the other video has two sequences. Will VP detect this and only print ONE sequence (Sequence 2)? Or will it put Sequence 2 after Sequence 1? My whole video is on Sequence 2 now. If it prints Sequence 2 after Sequence 1, that will mean that will have two Sequence 1s on the video. But if I take Sequence 1 out of my completed video, and VP DOESN'T print Sequence 1, my video will be incomplete. QUESTION: How does VP print sequences? The answer will tell me what I need to do.
  8. How do I "render" in v. 4.48?
  9. Thank you both so much. I have copied your responses onto a blank sheet and printed it so I won't get lost. Again, thank you!
  10. My video runs over 46 minutes long. I would like to make it shorter. I have created it in two parts, and per the subject matter it would be very easy to split it and make it into two videos. Can I do that in VP? I have created it in three sequences, and it would be simple to separate in between the second and third sequences. Can I do it, and . . . how?
  11. I created three slides (Open Office) to put into my video. However, when I add them into my video, they always show up with .084 maximum timing, whereas I know I specified 8 seconds on each of them. I used Zamzar to convert them. What am I doing wrong? I can't stretch them out on the timeline, either.

    Sequences

I constructed my video in three sequences, and was able to bring them all back together again. But when I did that, they no longer showed the extra tracks. Thus I am not able to polish up some things that I want to do to make my video "finished." How can I get back at least the "text" track?
