  1. Does anyone know what this error message means? I own two copies of videopad 3.10. One for work, and the other for home use. I finally finished a project, proceeded to export a movie, and was unable to get past this message. It came up immediately, and appeared to not even try! I took the project home and had no problem completing and uploading the project. Any ideas what causes this message?
  2. Thanks for all of the tips. I found the best one is to switch to Storyboard mode instead of timeline. This let me see the tiniest pieces, highlight them, right click, and then delete!
  3. I also have been having this problem. In the process of editing, for example, shortening a clip, I would late find a tiny bit ( a fraction of a second) of the clip left in place. It would be so small that I would be unable to grab it on the track to delete it. The only way I've been able to get rid of it is to delete the entire clip from the sequence, and then re-adding the original clip it back to the project.
  4. I'm using 3.10. I noticed the black transitions and wondered where they came from. They make the joins between the clips flutter. If I removed the clips and replaced them, sometimes the join would be smoother, but not always.
  5. Hello - thanks to all for their suggestions. Converting to version 3.10 was the solution to my problem!
  6. Wow - thank you everyone for your response. You all quickly went right over my head. Am I correct in assuming that version 3.04 simply doesn't allow reediting clips once on the sequence? Seems kind of crazy when it is so easy in the older software!
  7. Hello - I have been successfully editing clips , adding overlays and audio tracks in 3.04 until I hit this snag: I would like to make a few clips already cut and added to the sequence LONGER. After my attempts at dragging in and out arrows were denied (like you can do on previous version of software) I have tried 1) Recutting original clip, adding to the sequence, then deleting the shorted version. or 2) Adding a gap by dragging the sequence to the right, and adding the longer clip back into the gap, or 3) adding a blank clip. Each attempt either results in an error message something like "cannot move before due to proximity to another or start of sequence" or the clip immediately following is automatically shortened. What am I doing wrong?
  8. Thank you both for quick replies. I may have an older version of videopad(2.6) that doesn't have the projects/concepts referenced; at any rate I couldn't find it. I have tried renaming folders and files, and sharing them thru' Drop Box and also a thumb drive. I can find all of the pieces in the "back up files to folder", but none of the editing work already done. I am still getting error message "this version of the project is unsupported. Any other ideas??? My laptop isn't powerful enough to take over this transport problem, so at least for now, should I give up working from home? I'd hate to because when this works properly it is really FUN!
  9. Hi! I'm pretty new to this, but have been editing simple videos at work fairly successfully. I recently had the bright idea of bringing files home to continue editing various video clips. So far I've been unable to import project files in progress into the identical VideoPad software I have on my PC at home. What am I doing wrong? All of the various pieces are there, but none of the editing. I don't want to start over just to work from home. I bet it's something dumb!
