  1. A bit late to the party, but just as a heads up for people like me who put their pedals away for a bit only to come back and they aren't working. People who have the infinity pedal which was working with the free version of express scribe, should be aware that updating to El Capitan os 10.11 will render it useless. I just discovered this on my new Mac Mini. Luckily my MBA is still running Yosemite 10.10 and so working with express scribe still. I'd be very very cautious of doing any updates if you are in the middle of something!
  2. I thought I had updated my post. I eventually found an old version here: http://express-scribe-transcription-for-mac.soft32.com/old-version/ you aren't on a Mac then try: http://express-scrib.../old-version/ I have noticed that I get nags asking me to upgrade to a paid version but clicking 'no thanks' sorts it.
  3. Hi there, I downloaded what I thought was the free version of ES with the expectation that when the trial version ended it would revert to the less frills, free version. I don't need the extra stuff and as a self funding student who only needs this for a few hours of transcription I really don't want to have to pay for the full version if I don't have to. However at the end of the trial it hasn't and I can't see anything in the prefs or anywhere else to switch on so I use the free version. Does it still exist? I am using the Mac version and yes, I have asked in the Mac forum but it's like the Marie Celeste in there and I figured that any free versions would be cross platform anyway. Any help, links or suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks, Liz
  4. Hi all, Hope someone can help here. I had the trial version of ES which I expected to convert to the free version (which has all the functionality I need) at the end of the trial. This hasn't happened. I managed to find a download that specifically said it was free but was for Windoze. Am I wasting my time trying to find a free version for Mac? And yes, I know I could buy it but I'm a self funding student needing this for a very short period, so not really wanting to fork out if I don't have to. Cheers, Liz
