I love SoundTap! It's easy to use and does a great job, BUT....when I use it to record my podcasts there are 2 problems: 1. I can not mute my microphone by clicking the checkbox 2. When I play ads, my guest can not hear them although SoundTap records them. I have been avoiding using an analog mixer since my needs are quite simple; mute my microphone and play ads while recording the entire interview. I have a wonderful usb microphone, (Blue Yeti), and I edit the recorded podcast to clean up extra noise. Not having to manually insert the ads into the conversation in post production saves me HOURS and it does work in SoundTap, just can not figure out how to make it audible to my guest at the same time I am recording it.
