  1. I see that when the Express Delegate web portal is used to create a new dictation, a deadline can be assigned at that point. It would be extremely useful if there was a way to assign a deadline to a dictation in DialDictate, perhaps as a dictation type option. That is, if Request Dictation Type is checked in the DialDictate settings menu, there would be an option at that point to assign a default deadline (and priority even) that would be embedded in the file name. This is not the same as setting a priority, although the two concepts are related. If, for instance, you had two files in the Delegate queue, one with a higher priority and the other with a lower priority but that is closer to its deadline, a rule could be created that would assign the file with the closest deadline first, even though a higher priority dictation may be in the queue also. I suppose another way of going about this would be to assign a default deadline to a specific speaker user in Delegate when the user is created. This approach would not offer as much flexibility as the previous scenario.
  2. OK, I answered my own question, sort of. I see that when the ED web portal is used to create a new dictation, a deadline can be assigned at that point. I was thinking that perhaps there was a way to assign a deadline to a dictation in Express Dictate or DialDictate, or perhaps a default deadline could be assigned to a specific speaker user when the user is created.
  3. Mention is made in the ED help files about sorting files by "deadline," but I have searched high and low for any information on how a "deadline" is assigned to a dictation file. Where and when does this assignment take place? Thanks.
  4. I don't know whether or not this will help, but for what it's worth, you can download an older version of dss32.dll from the following link: www.vancedigital.com/downloads/dss32.dll On my XP machine, the location of this file is C:/Program Files/NCH Swift Sound/Components/dss32/dss32.dll Please let me know if this works for anyone. Also, in case anyone needs it, I have the last version of ES that plays .dss files okay, for me, anyway, at www.vancedigital.com/downloads/Express_Scribe_415.exe Jay
  5. I'm using IVM to send automated outbound messages that do not require a response. How do I turn off the record function so that IVM does not attempt to record a response from the party being called after the outgoing message has been played? Thanks. Jay
