  1. Does anyone know if there is a way to import avi's compressed with the Lagarith codec without having Videopad convert the file? For those who don't know, Lagarith is a lossless video codec used in AVI's. Once I installed the codec I could save movies using the codec, but importing the clip back into Videopad brings up a dialog screen saying the file must be converted.
  2. I have noticed the same behaviour myself. I'm not sure if this is a problem with only Videopad or the MTS files in general, it is not a good format for editing. I now convert the MTS files to either Huffyuv Avi (lossless compression, but huge file size) or high bitrate MPEG4 (Xvid) and edit those files. I also noticed that I had sluggish performance when using MTS files and it would take over 10 sec when I tried to reverse 1 frame. Anyway, with Huffyuv or MPEG4, everything works well, including transitions.
  3. I just wanted to bump this thread up as I have the same problem. It is impossible to use this software if you can't link audio tracks to the video. Also, linking audio tracks together, independent of video should be possible.
