  1. I have a WMA file that someone recorded for me. The person played a piano and sang a song I wrote. Is there any way that I can remove the piano music from the song part? I would like to have just the person singing the song left on the file, and be able to remove the piano music in the background. Is this possible? Thanks for any help. Tuf

    Help, please.

It's really lame that no one tries to help an individual with a problem they are experiencing. No matter, I figured it out myself.

    Help, please.

This is a mystery to me. I always record church sermons, come home upload them in to WavePad and then edit them. Today, when I click on "Load track from CD" (as I usually do) the dialogue box comes up but there is not file in it to load?? I tried another sermon CD that I had recorded and still no file in the box to open! I tried opening the sermon CD with RealPlayer and it opens and plays. I was thinking that perhaps I had not finalized the CD after recording it. But, it is finalized. I cannot figure out why WavePad does not show anything in the box to open and edit. Does anyone have a clue on what is going on? Any help would be appreciated, since I have to get the CD edited and then duplicated in order to hand out to the members. Thanks in advance.
  4. For some reason all of my music icons have changed to the WavePad icon! I can right click on any one of the icons and click properties and change "open with" Windows Media Player, or RealPlayer, and it will do so, but the WavePad icon stays. All of my music has the same WavePad icon showing! Any ideas on what has happened, or what to do to change the icons? Thanks. Tuf
  5. The hum is not a problem with converting the cassette tapes he is now doing. My question is related to how to remove the hum that is on the recording he has already done.I am not needing to know how to keep the hum out in the future...only removing it from the existing recordings. And...it's not a matter of if he is "tufunuf" to show up here;since that would do little towards him being able to fix the problem. We simply need to know how to remove the hum from the completed recordings. ...thanks in advance
  6. A friend of mine converted a audio cassette tape to a mp3 file on his website. The Mp3 file has a terrible humming noise that almost covers up the audio. Can WavePad remove all of the humming sound from the recording? If so, how is it done with the software program WavePad. Thanks in advance. Tuf
  7. Download the free program "Switch" from this same website. It is a very good program. Let me know if you have any problems converting files afterward.
  8. All of a sudden when I start to load a CD into wavepad it says "Connected to freedb.freedb.org" It then opens the "Load Audio CD Tracks" dialog box. Inside the box where it used to say Track 1, etc. It now says "Depeche Mode Interview-Interview Sessions-Chat CD14.wav, or other CD.wav files." I went ahead and loaded the CD and it was what I had intended to upload. But, I don't understand where all the other garbage, and connecting to freedb comes from. Can you help me figure this out? Thanks

    Error message

"error message " cannot open the file "F:\track01.cda" It is possible you don't have a suitable audio codec installed. Please see www.nch.com.au/acm/formats.html for more information." Here is some background: I copied a cassette tape (voice - not music) to a CDR disk on a Tascam CD Recorder/Cassette deck. I placed the CDR in my hard drive. It will play fine from the CD drive and after I downloaded it to my hard drive. But, when I try to open it in WavePad, that is when I receive the error message. Please help me out. I have to copy 208 of these CD's for a church and I do not know why it will not work. Surely it's not a blonde thing :-) Sincerely, Tuf
