  1. Hi just in case anyone else is having this problem, I was able to download a plugin filter called 'ef_aspectratio' which can be applied to each clip and can set the display ratio to 4:3 or 16:9. The downside is that the final video has lost quality (presumably because of the applied filter), but if this isn't an issue for you, then this would work. I'm going back to MS Movie Maker and trying to use a conversion facility that won't cause quality loss in that app (the reason I was trying VideoPad in the first place). Thanks anyway.
  2. I've taken some widescreen (16:9) MP4 video clips on a Camcorder and am trying to create a DVD through VideoPad. All works OK, except that the clips are displayed in VideoPad and written to the DVD as standard 4:3 format (even though I set the output format to 16:9). I've viewed the clips through other software (Windows Movie Maker, CyberLink MediaShow) and they both display them as widescreen, so I assume it's a problem in VideoPad. Is there a setting I need to change or doesn't the software support widescreen? I can't see any options when I add the clips. I'm using Vista. Thanks for any help you might be able to give.
