  1. I have been running version 2.0.3 on a Windows 2003 server. We are running it through a C# console application that calls it through process and passes the parameters through processstartinfo. Then scheduled the C# app to run at a certain time after hours. The problem is when we are logged out of the server the call to Switch does not start it. Work fine in a batch or any thing else, but you must be logged in to run it. Is there a way to run Switch.exe while logged off the machine? I have tried to run it as a service (both using srvany.exe with switch.exe and creating a batch file to run with srvany.exe)and did not get it to run with parameters. You can just fire the executable (switch.exe) with no commandline parameters. Are any of the nwer version able to either run while logged off or as a service? Any ideas or input would be appreciated, Justin
  2. Well the title bar will say plus or not. I fixed my problem. It was a licensing issue. I reinstalled a bunch of times and got a meesage saying that you can install one more time by there graces. So I took the opportunity and installed on my server. Tried it and worked. Before I tried toreinstal the dss32.dll and got no where. Maybe try installing on another machine that is set up the same as the other. try to trigger the message I got an then go to the machine youaccually want to install it on and install it there. Make sure you uninstall from the other machine first. that's how I got mine to work.
  3. Another question: Does it require a sound card? I have done the Direct X stuff, but it does no good if there is no sound card, right?
  4. OK. So why does the license work on the xp box but not the server 2003? Is it a license issue? If so, how do I fix it or move it to the server 2003 box? Any help here is appreciated. Thanks.
  5. I don't think it is the file itself. The reason is, I had this working on a XP machine with a Dell desktop with a SATA drive using one test file. Then put it on a HP server with server 2003 and now it does not recognize the DSS format. It has the same component files as the XP machine. So does the switch software not read SCSI drives? I put the software on a server for the cpu power for doing large batches of files as fast as possible. The requirement said that it would work on 2003 or is it the assumption that it would be on a desktop form factor? I'm just trying to figure it out. I really need this figured out soon. Thank you for your input.
  6. In testing the conversion worked great. Now I have purchased the license and activated it. Now it stopped working. I tested on an XP pro machine and on a Server 2003 machine. Its like it won't unlock the feature to decode the .dss. Has anyone had this problem where: it is working and then after the trial stops, you put in your activation code, then it no longer works? Can some one please tell me why this happens? I'm very frustrated. Thanks in advance.
  7. I just bought the software license and need help in filling out the right information for my situation. I am trying to use the software on a server and convert files in batches using a C# application. Worked well in testing. Would I need to use the local admin account or the domain admin account as the 'End User' in the registration form. Either account does not have an E-mail account with it but I can use another one. Is the 'End User' account tied to the switch software and if logged in as someone other than that user on the server will it not work? I can give more inforamtion if needed. Thanks in advance.
