  1. RE: TELEPHONY DEVICE CONTROL (START/STOP CONTROL) The reason VRS is not working with our Way2Call Modem is because VRS does not set the Way2Call Modem to"Active" when the Way2Call Modem is selected as the telephony device. VRS should set the following TAPI control for the Way2Call Modem "device.active=true" when the Way2Call Modem is selected as the telephony device. We have test other telephone recoding software (apart from VRS) and this other software works correctly because it sets the following TAPI control for the Way2Call Modem "device.active=true" when the Way2Call Modem is selected as the telephony device. It has taken many hours and many many emails to technicians in other companies to determine this. It is dissapointing that NCH does not seem to know about this. Does anyone know of a fix or hack that can be used to get VRS to do this correctly (ie. to set the TAPI control for the Way2Call Modem "device.active=true" when the Way2Call Modem is selected as the telephony device for start/stop control in VRS). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Regards
  2. I have a Way2Call Modem which is 100% TAPI compliant (www.way2call.com) but VRS will not work properly with this device. The Start/Stop control in VRS is set to "Telephony Device Control" but VRS does not start recording when the telephone handset is lifted. VRS will only start recording when the Way2Call Modem itself goes OFF-HOOK (i.e. when the Way2Call modem is used to dial a number, as opposed to using the telephone to dial a number). Does anyone know anything about this. I cannot seem to get any information from NCH about why this occurs or how to fix it (apart from NCH telling us that their software will work with Way2Call Modems). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated (any ideas about alternative software to VRS would also be useful) Regards
