Greetings, ExpressScribe failed playback of .dss files (Dictaphone, Phillips, and Olympus) that worked fine in Win2k O.S., but do not respond in WinXP sp3. Default installed includes a Mcrsft. updt. < Mcrsft. Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.17 > . Not sure if a cryptic update reference to earlier Mcrsft. updt. is relevant as it is quite old: < Mcrsft. Visual C++2005 Redistributable Package (x86) >. Appreciate greatly helpful input. Regards, E
