  1. So now I got hold of a Logitech steering wheel to use the foot pedals but in Windows ES doesn't seem to want to see it. I've gone through the process of configuring it in game controllers and everything works fine but ES simply won't acknowledge its existence. Does anyone know how I can rectify this?
  2. Thanks for the help. But I'm using a gameport steering wheel foot pedals (which don't seem to have Linux drivers) or alternately I can rig up a USB Logitech dual action gamepad. On Windows I have to configure the foot pedals as a game controller but Linux doesn't even seem to recognize that they exist. The controller works fine in Ubuntu but again ES doesn't show it at all. Perhaps if I do the whole thing through Wine it would work...
  3. I normally use the 'delete' option rather than 'done'. If I feel the need to hold onto the audio for whatever reason I can always just keep the source file in my Documents.
  4. How did you get the foot pedals to be recognized on the Linux Scribe? I'm stuck there at the moment. Sorry not much help for you. There are a lot of reported problems with ES working on Linux, especially recognizing foot pedal issues.
  5. That's exactly what I need - or would have needed anyhow. Thanks!
  6. For load/dispatch/done left click the file to highlight it and then right click to bring up the menu. To load files into ES from WMP I don't know how to do it directly but from the WMP library right click the file name then Open File Location, then from the file location right click and open into ES.
  7. I think you're going to have to do a bit of monkeying around with them. Are you trying to put subtitles onto them or what? I'm not sure it's clear what you're trying to do. Scribe will definitely not convert a DVD over just on its own but if you specify what you're trying to do I'm sure we can figure something out.
  8. I've found a couple of times with Scribe that if I have a file over say the two hour-ish mark, once it hits a certain point it won't play any further and it just restarts from the beginning. So it appears to have the whole thing downloaded but after about 2 1/2 hours no matter what point you play it from it just plays from the beginning. And in other audio players it works fine. Does anyone have the same problem, or a workaround? Thanks
  9. I wouldn't even bother frankly, unless what you were going to type out is no more than a few minutes of rough notes. Otherwise just stick with the professional word processors.
  10. What do you mean by a typing window? Can you post a pic of what your setup looks like? My Scribe module has a divider with the lower part used to type notes and the upper half showing the audio files. I've found that the tutorials on the website Here are very useful.
