After I made some recordings selecting the sound card as source with a sampling rate of 96,000 and saving the file as wav PCM format at 48,000 KHz, 16 bit, Stereo, I listened the quality audio a little bit poor. Those recordings were made using an old Toshiba Satellite Laptop with an ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM). My objective is to obtain a good quality wav files from a Music on Demand service where I am subscribed that doesn’t allows downloads, only can be listen in real time trough its own browser. What I don’t know is if the Sound Card is a determinant piece in the final result. If that, please recommend me a really good sound card for a Desktop PC. I even thought on a Vacuum Tube PC Motherboard
