  1. Yes the problem is your modem - use one of the boards reccommended on the website

  3. I suggest you try the following: Create a new OGM with a test message -set IVM to answer with new message - IF it answers OK, in the OGM directory copy the old wav. file over the new OGM wav. file. Let me know if you still have a problem
  4. The only way to accomplish distinctive ring answering using IVM is to put a distinctive ring router ahead of the modem/voice board. You will also need a voice board with multiple ports to answer each routed call with a different outgoing message. Let know if you need a source for ring routers or voice boards.
  5. When calling in to hear a message you do have the ability to hear when the message was recorded. This is part of tmailbox setup options
  6. It's unlikely that this is an IVM problem. To make sure: Download the wav file that IVM posted to the web page. See if it now plays from your computer. It could be many things so email me if this doesn't provide a solution alan@norstarservice.com
  7. I have a customer with the same problem and the only solution I could come up with was to put in a message asking the caller to stay on the line while the call is being transferred - it worked, and people stopped hanging up

    Transfers with Vonage

    You need a centrex line functionality to do a transfer - I don't believe any IP based service can provide this. You can test by answering a call from a handset - then do a hookflash - If you don't get a dialtone it cant be done

  13. Under the menu- settings/devices/properties there's an option to configure your TAPI hardware. You should be able to make the adjustments from there - good luck!

    Call forwarding

    In order to transfer a call from a land-line to a cell phone - your land line must be a Centrex line - call your phone line provider to find out. You can then accomplish the transfer using IVM. You will be able to play a commercial message and then transfer te call to your cell. If you need more info or help contact me - alan@norstarseervice.com
