Now that almost everyone has a broadband connection to the internet and for sure most of us have also a voice modem connected to a telephone line I was figuring if there is an application that allows to reach a computer from a remote one via the broadband connection to the Internet and use the modem as a remote telephone line to make voice calls. For example, if I am in a business trip or established for some time in another place i/e in a foreign country for a wile I would like to know if there is a software/hardware that permits me to have a remote phone extension connected to mi travel laptop that can make calls using mi office phone line connected to my main desktop computer being both the computers connected to the Internet via a broadband connection. I will thank in advance if someone can give me some help this way.
