  1. This is very disappointing. I tried Express Rip before paying for the Plus version of Switch and it didn't work. It specifically says in the list of features for Switch "Extract and convert audio from DVDs". Both functions that Switch promises to do and why I paid for the software haven't worked. I should therefore qualify for a refund?
  2. I've purchased Switch Plus and downloaded and extracted the Voiceit plug in as instructed. When trying to convert an SRI file it brings up the message saying 'The .ini file was not found'. Please contact elemedia at www.... - a website that doesn't exist anymore. Does anyone have any ideas?
  3. I purchased the Switch Plus version thinking this would be possible. After I add the DVD folder to the list and click Convert, it starts for a second or two and then comes up with red crosses beside them all - no error message appears. There is nothing in the FAQ or technical help that gives any idea on how to do this. Can anyone help?
  4. Hi again, I've had a bit of progress with the cause of the freezing up. When I don't set the program priority to Real Time, then it doesn't seem to freeze up, but the problem is that my audio cuts out and I need to reboot to reset the sound card. So I have a bit of a dilemma. Is there a solution that will fix both issues that anyone knows of? Thanks again, Josephine.
  5. I've had this problem for a few weeks now where I'm transcribing from ES and mid way the computer freezes up and I need to reboot, therefore losing all the work I had done since the last auto save. I've got the audio set to real time as it cuts out if I leave it as it. I've been working that forever, so that's not what's causing it. It's done it with version 4.05 and version 4.17 (most recently), so it's not that either. I did have quite a large amount of files loaded up but even after removing them it still happens. I've got plenty of free disk space. It's getting very frustrating and I can't figure out what's causing the freezes. Can someone give a suggestion? Thanks. Josephine.
  6. I have a number of wma files that won't load into Express Scribe, so I'm converting them to wav in Switch. I'm having problems in that the first file will convert successfully (albeit very slowly), and then any subsequent files I select to convert, it works very quickly and results in a 2kb wav file which is empty. I'm using the basic free program at this stage, and would like to upgrade, but I want confirmation that this isn't going to continue in the paid version before committing. I'd have to pay for another program if I can't resolve this issue. It also does the same thing when trying to convert them to mp3. Please help!
  7. Hi, I've upgraded Scribe to v4.15 and have a heap of wma files to load. I know the problems with wma files are supposed to be fixed in this version but for some reason, the files won't load. They show 10 percent down the bottom and then disappears and the time stays at 0.00. After a while I get a message saying the file is empty, but all the files are fine, they all play fine and to the end in Media Player. Please help. I've converted some but it's so time consuming and converting them is just taking up more time and space on my hard drive. Thanks.
  8. I'm having some problems in that every time I load a file I start running out of hard drive space. For example a 17 MB file is taking up 220 MB on my hard drive once it's loaded. I'm not sure if this is normal and I'm wondering if there is something I can do to fix it. I've got a couple of gig on my hard drive left but as soon as I load a few audio files, it's full until they're deleted.
