    Soundtap craches in Vista ?

    Shoulda read this forum first, I BOUGHT the thing and am having all these same blue screen crashes in a Dell 1525 with 2 GB memory and Vista Home Premium. HEY NCH, this has been going on since November? Where is the fix?

     

    :angry:I get a blue screen of death after soundtap has recorded for a while sound hangs and computer restarts. I have tried to remove sondtap and soundcard drivers and reinstall but I cant repair installation? my version is full 1.34 . New computer realtek soundcard :angry::angry:

    Had same issue. Got it fixed:

     

    Reinstalling the mp3el.exe (direct, NOT within Wavepad) works IF: You let Vista tell you it is installed (a LIE) then Vista after a bit of delay pops up a window asking if you trust the file, answer yes and you get a pop up that lets you run the thing again as administrator. Then it tells you it is installed and this time it's TRUE. :-| hehehe

     

    Sheesh, Microsoft. But anyway, it now works!
