margins in 4.44

it looks like when the update to 4.44 came along it altered all the margins again and the position of when the invoice data is printed on the page. The gap between the bill to address and the first line of the invoice is now over 1 inch and can't be altered.

These guys are so frustrating when they do updates. Many other parts of the program don't function as they used to.

Hi Graham -- I noticed that as well. I was one of the lucky ones --- it did not effect my invoices -- but I can see if someone was tight on space where it could make a difference.

You are correct -- it is frustrating to have to test the invoice printing every time they update. I updated several times and, each time the very first thing I do is print an invoice to see if it is still OK. If it is -- I go with the update. If it is not - I revert back to the old version and use it until the next update.

The other frustrating thing is the inability to alter the margins of the columns in the invoice and customize ALL the printed columns. Why not allow someone to choose every column they want AND how large they want the column. I understand that this is like placing a separate print module in the program and that would be more costly -- but they really need to do a better job with the invoice printing.

As for the change in functions -- most changes, that I have noticed, have been OK (i.e., I am happy with them). But I definitely agree, the invoice printing is hit or miss. Hope you find a happy medium. -- Ken

I would love to be able to print my terms and conditions on the rear of my invoices and quotes etc. i keep suggesting it but it seems to be falling on deaf ears. I would also like to be able to print a delivery note before i create an invoice as in my mind that is what happens first.

I have the same desire and was wondering whether you've had any joy? I tried copying the text in Word and pasting it:

a) at the bottom of the quote itself under "notes"

B) in the options section, in quotes, under "notes" (I think)

Either way, the program freezes and has to be closed - so it doesn't actually provide me with any instruction as to what I did wrong, or tell me what the max number of characters is, for that field...

Help!!!!!!!
