New VRS Implemtation

Hello everyone,

 

I am interested in designing a system for the recording of up to 32 phone lines. I'm looking at the VRS Enterprise along with the use of two TELCTAS16 boards. Can someone help me design a cpu to properly handle these needs? I have a temperature controlled server room to store the system. I would like to be able to connect the pc to my network for accessing the recorded calls. I also am in need of a storage solution. Would you recommend a weekly data dump to DVD? The phones I will be recording are used for approximately 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. If I read correctly, the VRS software will detect the use and automatically record. I do not want the end user to be able to control the recording.

I realize this is an ancient post, but I am looking to build a system very similar to the one you built Kevin. Do you or does anyone else have any minimum hardware suggestions for such a system?
