jrb110
I am looking for a simple way to save each channel of a stereo pair to a separate mono file. This is not a mix but two discreet single-track mono files. This should be a common standard operation, but I can’t seem to see how within WavePad or MixPad… The two tracks of the stereo pair were recorded at the same time for timing issues (track 1 dialog, track 2 background) and now they need to be remixed. But first I need to split them into two separate tracks. I hope that makes things clear. Thanks
mike20021969
i am using wavepad v3.05. i cannot see a way to seperate the left and right channels so that you have 2 separate audio tracks.
Guest nchdc
Hi, Wave pad can do it but it is a little clunky. turn the volume on right to zero, save as mono then set volume on left to zero, save as mono.

boukinator
I know this is an old thread, but I was having a similar problem and was able to separate the left and right edit -> split file ->split file into its component channels
