"Tuner" as "video input" under video input device

This program and my video input device works fine with the correct connections I have made, when converting from a VHS on a VCR player to a video file format within your program.

I read every piece of documentation for this program.

FYI

This program offers -

"Tuner" as "video input" under video input device

"Tuner" as "video input" under

There is zero documentation support for this option.

There is no cable connection info, setting info, input info related to capturing from a tuner card or TV, which naturally has a tuner in it.

I need help / support for this feature.  It is why I bought the program. I don't want to have to capture a video on a VCR or use a vhs tape and then have to convert it to a DVD or video file format. I want to capture form the "Tuner" as offered within the program.

Any thoughts out there - please advise and thank you,

Keith

Hi,

Not sure if that option is included, but you can review the product website details from here > http://www.nchsoftware.com/goldenvideos/index.html

In reference to "There is no cable connection info, setting info, input info related to capturing from a tuner card or TV, which naturally has a tuner in it."

All you have to do is connect the card or tv input to your computer using a video adapter that allows this connection. Please review online, there are many adapters for this matter.

Thxs Telephony for your input . Much appreciated.

Inside the program, it offers - "Tuner" as "video input" under video input device"

Why is it offered if it is not a feature?  That's the main reason I bought the program - that feature.

And I am using a "Video Capture Usb device hardware" that allowed the VHS stream to be converted into Golden video program. It worked fine.

Not one piece of info on the "Tuner" as "video input".  Must be a future feature - bait and switch maybe. Who knows.

I emailed NCH tech support w/ the same question and I received a lame response referring me to a paragraph on there tech support page that did not even address my question. Apparently you are a step-child if you  don't pay for their tech support. I have bought 5 -6 of their programs and this is how they treat a loyal customer.  Ridiculous to have to pay for help with an apparent flawed program or misleading feature that doesn't exist.

But thank you for trying to help Telephony.

Keith
