Mrs Caine Posted June 6, 2017 Share Posted June 6, 2017 Hi Have tried several times to add our Gmail to email settings and get the error message: "Email authentication username or password not accepted" I'm using the correct credentials - can anyone help with what might be causing the issue? Jsalgado Posted June 6, 2017 Share Posted June 6, 2017 Gmail has a setting called "Allow less secure Apps" which you need to enable in order to send emails successfully. Follow the steps below in order to enable it: Go to the "Less secure apps" section in My Account. Next to "Access for less secure apps," select Turn on. (Note to G Suite users: This setting is hidden if your administrator has locked less secure app account access.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
