Hi all

I have plugged my midi keyboard into the computer using a 16 pin midi cable to USB and am running Mixpad.  I can adjust the speed and assign the device to stop start and record when pressing the relevant key I can also assign the jog wheel so information is being sent and received.

Unfortunately I am unable to get the keyboard to work with the midi instruments even the general Midi such as grand piano al i want to do is press a key on the keyboard and a piano sound come out of the speaker 

It all works when I use the mouse so it must be a setting somewhere any help offered would be gratefully received
