Adding items to a group so it is easier to find when adding to an invoice

Hi all,

Is it possible to add items into a group within the item list so that it is easier to find the item you are looking for when adding them to an invoices. 

E.g 1 group will be black colour items, next group will be red colour and so on.

In my experience that's not possible.  What we did to get around that was start the item code with a certain letter.  For example, all retail items start with an "R" and all wholesale with a "W."  Then we use the letters after that in the same way.  All spelt starts has an "S" next, emmer has "E", etc.
