LeeKW
Hi, I have been trying for a couple of days to import a semi-transparent .gif to create a fly-out text box for a movie clip however it seems impossible to set the duration of the gif greater than 5 seconds. Its properties box accepts the numerical input but nothing changes if it is > 5 seconds. Dragging the bar on the timeline also stops at 5 seconds. The total clip duration is currently set at 30 seconds. Not sure if I am missing some fundamental concept about the duration of of media objects or if something is broken? The problem does not seem to appear in the sample project. Edit: Just tried replacing the text box gif with the jpg I am using for a background image in this animation an there is no problem with the duration limit? Jsalgado
Unfortunately the software will not allow you to change a duration of a pre-determine gif, it will remain as it is.
LeeKW
Changed the .gif to .png and used the opacity settings in EA to create virtually the same effect so things are good now thanks. It would have been time saving to mention this minor limitation in the help files though.
