PLEASE HELP ME SOUND GLITCH

STUPIDSOUDNGLITCH

Recommended Posts

This has been happening for the past 3 videos I have edited.

When I preview the video (On average the 3 vids are 30 minutes each) it works fine

When I export the video random sections (probably about 5 total) have no sound but the video graphics are fine, the sound just randomly fades off for about 10-20 seconds then goes back to normal. When I just export ONLY the sound it still glitches out. And no, I didn't accidentally fade the audio for too long or mute it.

For reference if you are wondering what i'm doing I just made an edit of lord of the rings that includes every scene from a certain battle, for example the full battle of helm's deep, etc. I used a bunch of NON CORRUPTED clips that I got from the digital version of the movie on my pc, no downloading off youtube or any crap.

How can I make it so the video doesn't randomly mute parts ?!!?!?

EDIT: Resolved

Hi

Under Tools/Options/Export that the Audio fade-out box is not checked. (Although the effect would not be random as you mention.)

There is a known problem also with selections from clips that incorporate sound fade-in/out from the soundtrack menu option either muting all the clip sound or fading it out in the incorrect place.

Thanks for responding!

I tried the first thing you said and it was indeed checked, but it didn't seem to fix the issue. Another thing I want to note is it might not be as random as I thought it was.

BUT, as I am writing this, I just fixed the issue. If anyone else runs into this issue here is what you need to do: split each segment around the middle before the silent glitch happens. It doesn't matter exactly where it is, just split it. That way the part with the "fade in" and the part with the "fade out" are not connected. Don't drag or move any clips, just keep it split and there will be no sound or visual difference.

Here is a picture:

As you can see, it fades in at the start and fades out at the end, but in the middle area where the red line is, I split the video even though there is no logical reason, it just fixes this bug.

Hi

That's useful to know. :-)

In effect you are creating two clips from one. Having done that each "new" clip only has one sound fade; either fade in or a fade out but not both and this does seem to cure the problem. However if your clip has fade-in AND fade-out the sound can mute but unexpected fades can occur also if the speed of the clip has been altered. I think NCH are having a look at it.
