USB audio input via Tascam 144

Tascam 144 USB device is my preferred option for playback and recording.

 

I can play back from any source incl Wavepad via the Tascam.

 

I can record from my cheap, inbuilt realtek feeds into wavepad.

 

Only recently I am unable to record with Tascam input.

 

Options set to Tascam, Sound default to recognized, and obviously output-working Tascam.

 

What am I missing not to be able to record on wavepad from the Tascam stream?

There are two tabs you should check in the Options dialog:

1. Audio

This is where you select the playback device

2. Recording

This is where you select your input device. There is also a pulldown list here which allows you to select which input of the device to use if your device has more than 1 input. If I remember correctly those Tascam 144s have 2 inputs, so you need to select the correct one.

 

Let me know what options you have selected on these tabs.
