AVI or MOV created in Videopad doesn't playback in After Effects

Hi Everyone,

 

I wonder if you can help?

 

I created an AVI in VIdeopad (and also tried to export to a MOV file). I then loaded the AVI into After Effects CC. When I played back the footage in the preview window, I can only hear sound but without video.

 

As a second test I did a transcode in Handbrake from AVI to MP4 which played in After Effects. However, I would like to use the uncompressed AVI file instead of a MP4. Please help?

AVI is a container (wrapper) for various encodings. Test different encoding options when exporting from VP.

It may also be possible to load an appropriate codec for After Effects usage, in order to play your original AVI.
