davernoise
I for the most part only use cd-rs in my car with WMA's on them. When I rip a cd in Windows Media Player to WMA, and then burn a cdr for the car, all is good. When I burn a cdr with a WMA that was converted by Switch, my car player doesn't recognize it / play it. I tried burning a cdr with an MP3 that was converted with Switch, and it worked fine. I prefer the sound and smaller file size of WMA's over Mp3. Any suggestions? Thanks~
nchBen
Hi davernoise, When you convert a file to wma using Switch, there are several encoder options which can affect playback on some systems. You can access these options by clicking the "Encoder Options..." button next to the output format field on the Switch interface. Have you tried different options? Cheers, Ben
jkollar
Make sure you use WMA 9.2 with a CBR. I have found NO car audio that can read WMA pro. I suspect the same is true for WMA lossless. How do I know? I ripped all of my CD's to WMA Pro and can't play them in my car! Hence I need conversion software.
