Conversion woes

When converting WV files to wave my sample rate should be 24 bit, yet it only converts to 16 bit.

How can I change the settings to enable a 24 bit conversion?

The source is a 24 bit WV file.

Any help is appreciated

Hi Saguaro,

For .wv files you need to manually choose your output bit depth by clicking the "Encoder Options" button next to the "Output Format" field. Choose the following options (or similar to) in the image below

Hi there Ben: I'm sorry to say that it didn't work.

I saw the pic and set it for Custom,Pcm uncompressed, and 44100 hz 24 bits stereo.

It converted like a charm, yet when I placed the memory card back into the Fiio x5ii it still registered as 16 bit!

Perhaps it really did give me 24 bit, yet the cover art read only 16.

Back to the drawing board.

Thankyou Ben.

Dave

I'm having different conversion woes.  I have an oral history interview digitized in .cda format on 3 CDs.  I had no problem converting the first four tracks to mp3 using Switch.  But when I try to convert the last two tracks (CD 3 of 3), I get the message "Conversion completed."  Only, the conversion has not been completed.  It has not taken place.  What could be going wrong?
