Editing A Recording

Recommended Posts

Please bear with me. I have been using another Recording and Editing software for years. So simple and easy. But it is no longer available for my new laptop, so am attempting to get to grips with Wavepad.

I have recorded a half hour radio programme and need to trim the beginning and end. So:

Is it possible to show the whole file on the editing screen?

If not, is there any way of fast forwarding to the end?

I would really appreciate some very simple guidance on what to do, and how to do it.

Many thanks for any help.

Hello, By default the program will load the recording and show the whole file length but if that is not the case then you can use the zoom out tool so you can see the whole file length. You can find the zoom tool at the lower right hand corner of the program's waveform window. If you have the waveform zoomed in then you can use the scroll bar to move to the right or left so you can go to end or beginning of the track. You may want to check this video tutorials about how to use Wavepad, this may help you to ease the learning process, http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/tutorial.html
