How do I save a WAV as a looping WAV?

I know how to make a WAV loop during playback and editing within WavePad software ... but how do I save the file so that it loops CONTINUOUSLY when played by other software?

I would think that possibly if you copy and save your looped section

into a new file and save it as a new file, perhaps ?

At first I thought this wasn't something the WAV format could do, but I was wrong: WAV does have optional 'cue' and 'playlist' chunks which could be used to loop a file in players which support these features. Unfortunately WavePad doesn't support them. I think even if it did you would find it to be of limited usefulness, because you can't rely on all players to support it. And if a player does support it then it probably also has a 'loop play' mode that you could use instead.
