OmegaGh Posted May 16, 2015 Share Posted May 16, 2015 So, I posted here recently not to long ago about a problem, that i eventually was able to somewhat fix. after deciding to report a bug and telling them what happened I was given a link to download a newer version (4.5) and it seemed to work on most of the effects, except for a few. I'll hit the 'fx' button on the picture or video that's overlayed onto the video itself and select scale once again, everything seems fine until I actually change the effects value for the scale, which automatically causes VideoPad to shut itself down due to an abnormal problem as seen here: I've tried repeating this over and over again with other content and the results are always the same. I have applied a text to the timeline overlay track and then used SCALE to expand it lengthwise (as you seemed to have tried) The text in the media list thumbnail expanded but the overlay text remained the original size. I think method 1 should work for you as the scaling does seem to be reflected in the sequence line even if the media list thumbnail doesn't change. Trying to re-scale the thumbnail a second time with method 2 seems to provoke a crash (or at least a whitish screen here) as the program must have a conflict being told to do something that has been done. (possibly) I think NCH will note these posts and have a look at it. Scaling texts worked OK previously but the text input area has been changed a bit in this latest version. Please try update your graphics driver see if it can solve the problem. @Nat: If you select a clip in the Media Bin and click Effect button on the toolbar to apply effects. The effects will be apply the clip in the Media Bin (i.e. Bin Clip) only. Clips already on the sequence time line (i.e. Track Clip) are not effected. On the bottom of the videopad editor it's telling me that my systems OpenGL is outdated and that i have to update my drivers, which there are two options for the notification, 'details' and 'close' if I hit close obviously it will just close that notification until I reopen the editor, but if I hit details it takes me to this site: http://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html which, since I'm using an Intel I click on that linked for it, then I follow the directions and it starts all over again even after I update them. We are working on software implementation (no hardware acceleration needed) for all the effects. It still in progress. But for now we seems to running out of options unless upgrade the hardware.
