I do "save as" (no editing has been done), select "Auto (preserves original format)" and save the file. The new file now has a hissing noise in the background and is a slightly different length. Why? vapors Posted January 5, 2015 Share Posted January 5, 2015 Curious as to whether you have experienced this issue when selecting the "save as" function manually? I use version 5.10, which does not include "Auto" as a save function. I generally work with .wav files, and this is the default 'save as' function for me, which I choose and then am brought to the Wave Encoder Options dialog box.
