dbradionow
In mixPAD, there is an effect "amplify." The same effect icon "amplify" in my WAVEpad. But, it does nothing. No way to apply. If this is supposed to work in MIXpad similar to WAVEpad, I need to know how, please. If it does not work, please advise. Thank you.
vapors
I have struggled with this very thing in the past when using mixpad. Although it should be pretty simple, I felt kinda dumb not being able to figure it out. The help files didn't help. I really hope someone can answer your post. I ended up doing amplification and other editing in WavePad first. Eventually I gave up and got Audacity (sorry NCH) - a free, easy and extremely useful program. I still use WavePad daily and like it very much.
Richardmellersh
Hmmm, I'm also having this problem. Where some of the Mixpad effects work on the selected track or clip, but not all including "amplify". Surely as it's advertised as "Professional Software" it must be a question of finding the right key presses?
Richardmellersh
..... Also I have Audacity and Garage band neither of them seem to be as intuitive as Mixpad and although they are free programs an intuitive interface must make it simpler & quicker to use. nchBen
Hi Guys, When you add an effect in MixPad, you are adding the effect to the entire track. The clips themselves are not actually changed, rather they are fed through the track's effect chain when you playback or mix down. This allows you to keep making adjustments to your effect parameters without having to constantly reapply the changes and thereby degrade your original recordings. If you want to raise the volume of just one clip then I would suggest using the volume envelope. Again, this will keep your original recording in tact, but still get the amplification you are looking for. If you still need to apply a permanent amplification (or any other effect), then you can right click the track and select "Edit Clip...". This will open the clip in WavePad and you will have access to a vast array of filters and effects you can use to alter the clip. When you save your result, you are saving the changes to that clip permanently, so if you may need to go back to the old clip then it is better to make a copy first! Hope this helps you guys get where you need to go! Regards, Ben
