Dexyness
Just paid for the program, and suddenly when I select more than file to be added to the sequence/project, it loads my pics in reverse order than in my folder. Didn't do this in the trial/demo version. Frustrating since my project contains frame by frame images. Can anyone explain how to fix this please??? Gah. Dexyness
I noticed it with adding a folder too. My image files come from NCH VideoPad after I export a video snippet as an image sequence. The file names are just numbers, but numbers in order 000001 000002 etc. I've tried renaming images as 1,2,3 and still no good. Very odd!
bsweetcan
I too am having the same problem. The program worked fine until I registered it, then it started with the reverse order loading and I have only had the program one day. What worries me the most is no one from the company has responded to this problem, is the program faulty???
Dexyness
Yep same thing bsweetcan, soon as I registered. Thanks admin support, I will do the support ticket.
notbuyingit
I too am having the same problem. I have hundreds of photos from a vacation that keep importing in reverse. I tried to submit a support ticket, but I have to buy it first? Psh. I'm not buying anything until I know if its going to work right.
notbuyingit
No, you don't have to purchase the software in order to submit a support ticket. Just go to http://www.nch.com.a...ortcontact.html, and provide the basic info asked for. Select Yes-already downloaded and installed. Oh, the purchase box isn't on that link you provided. This is where I was led to: http://www.nch.com.au/support/supportcontact.html?software=PhotoStage&support=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nchsoftware.com%2Fslideshow%2Fsupport.html&pty=2&purchaseclass=photostage&dldwin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nch.com.au%2Fcomponents%2Fpstagesetup.exe&dldmac=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nch.com.au%2Fcomponents%2Fpstagemaci.zip Anyway, I already figured out how to make it work right. bsweetcan
Would you mind sharing what you did to make it work right and if you could figure it out, how come the company couldn't tell us all how to fix their program???
notbuyingit
Would you mind sharing what you did to make it work right and if you could figure it out, how come the company couldn't tell us all how to fix their program??? Sorry for the delay. While using the Add Media function, or dragging & dropping multiple files it loaded in reverse. When I used the Add Folder function, the pictures loaded in the correct order. Hope it works for you
bsweetcan
Thank you very much for the hint. Now will someone at NCH look into this and figure out a correction!!!
Carlos Xavier
Very disappointed with this program and very sorry I purchase it. My photos also load in reverse. When clicking on the NCH page for support it takes me everywhere but to the support page where I expect to see a box where I can log a call. Disappointed. LarryGB
Confirm issue with reverse sequence image file loading. Confirm solution of using folder import, loads sequence correctly.
pieters
Any updates? (I have the "free edition", but don't mind paying for the home edition). Used the product once, slides loaded in correct order. Went back to learn some more, and found it loaded the slides (working with the same set) in complete reverse order. Went through all the permutations ( you can load by selecting a folder, or selecting individual slides in the folder, and can get into this function three different ways (add media, add folder, right click in the clip bar at the bottom)), and found that it will create different orders depending on how it is feeling. Sometimes slides are in pure reverse order, sometimes they are in different groups depending on how Photostage is feeling about collating sequence. Due to circumstances beyond my control, my images are called: Image1, Image1-1, ..., Image1-10 and so on, and they go up to Image1-214. I was able to make it work by going into Windows Explorer (or whatever the heck it's called now) and sorting the slides in reverse collating sequence, then telling Photostage to Add Media from the folder, and all except Image1 were in the correct order. Bizarre. I am learning Photostage on behalf of a friend who is digitizing all her photos to make gift DVDs for her family. Her budget is limited, but she could spring for the $29 version. However, her tolerance for things working randomly is very low, so I feel obliged to find her a product which will work consistently. Any clues gratefully accepted! --Pieter System is Windows Vista (not my fault!), 64 bit, 8GB memory.
2ward2
I have found that (counter-intuitively) clips load in reverse if you select them all and then use the "add to slideshow" down arrow, but if you drag and drop them into their position directly, they'll add in the correct order. To add individual clips, drag and drop the clip to the position where you want to insert it. You will see a small red arrow at the top to the LEFT of the already present clip, which indicates that the new clip will precede the one that is there already. Experiment by moving your new clip from side to side as you hover over the clip series. You should see the small red down arrow adjust its position as you do so, always indicating where your new clip will appear in the show. Hope this helps!
