hi all I used to have an older version of Zulu, and on that I could use auto play and set ie,20 secs overlap on the tracks to play seemless music all night yet I cant find any controls to do this anymore???? and this defeats the object of auto play??? also auto play does not seem to auto load my playlists??? which is kinda useless??? any tips would be great! thanks.

Hi Cheeseknights,

Out of curiosity what was the old version you had?

They changed the autoplay to be based on the beats of the currently playing track instead of time.

For example, if DeckA is playing and approaching the end about 6 beats before the end of the track Deck B will start playing and the crossfader will move to the centre over 2 beats. The crossfader will stay in the centre for 2 beats then fade out over the next 2 beats.

I'm not sure what you mean by "also auto play does not seem to auto load my playlists". Could you give me a bit more info?

Cheers.

  • 2 weeks later...

thanks for the reply, unfortunately my computer went bang and I don't know what version I had, if I knew that I would ask for that version back again! lol. I really should back stuff up more. with the auto play it will only load to deck a. so it wont play continuously . ie no gaps between songs, as I only set a playlist up and don't man the mixing desk while its playing its not a lot of good to me now! unless its just me being thick??? lol.

No worries :)

Have you got the Feed To column enabled(Options->Playing->Autoplay)?

If it is, then when Autoplay is enabled which ever deck is specified in the Feed To column will be the only deck the track loads to.

Deck A is the default deck so if no changes where made all tracks will only play to deck A.

have checked this and yes its enabled, but feed to section is saying deck a for every song, if i was to manually put in a then b for each track it works, but i often add tracks to the playlist during the night.. which then means i would have to alter every feed to after adding only one song????? sorry i am quite basic with this sort of thing! lol. but thanks anyways!

Hey again.

Instead of specifying each deck for each track, you can turn the Feed To option off and the loading of the tracks is handled automatically.

As for the overlap, there is no way to change how it is handled.
