diamondscribe
I transcribe using an MI Internet keyboard with audio controls across the top (Play/Pause/Stop, etc.). I do not use hot keys or a foot pedal. I have always been able to do fine controlling the audio with the keyboard from within a Microsoft Word document or an OpenOffice document. The Word trial on my new laptop has expired and right now I'm going to have to use OpenOffice again to work with documents. It worked on my desktop, but now after I installed OpenOffice on my laptop, I cannot control the audio using my keyboard audio controls. I can use hot keys, but the audio controls do not work. This is really slowing me down. Is there some setting in OpenOffice that is affecting this? Like I said, my system worked before on the desktop with the same keyboard and software. Thanks.
