Bosendorfer Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 I noticed that NCH is promoting a new version of WavePad, version 5.72. I am running version 5.60. Are there new features in version 5.72? How do I upgrade to the new version? Is it necessary to purchase it all over again or is there a less expensive upgrade for people who are using the older version? Thanks! Guest Alex Chapman Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Hi Bosendorfer, In the Mac version of WavePad we added the following new features between versions 5.60 and 5.72: - Scroll by selecting - Upload/download to/from SoundCloud - Snap to zero crossing - Presets in Effect chain - MP3 Technical Improvements (no silence introduced when saving and then loading an mp3) There were also numerous bug fixes. These are usually minor issues, and probably aren't of interest unless there is a specific bug that is affecting you, in which case let me know and I can check whether it is fixed in the latest version. All upgrades within 90 days of purchase are free. After that, see http://www.nch.com.au/upgrade/index.html to get a price for an upgrade.
