Time stamp in Debut

How do you add a time stamp to a video in the Debut Video Capturing software. The website says that it can be done, but I haven't been able to find it within the actual software.

You need to click on the A near the bottom right-hand corner.

 

If you hover your mouse over the timeline box (that's what I call it, don't know what the official name is), a set of guidelines for the codes will "pop down", have a practice until you get what you want.

 

I can't upload any more screenshots, no matter how small I try to make them they are rejected as being too big

Thanks to Clemenzena for pointing me in the right direction on this. Here's a bit more detail.

Open the 'text caption' dialog box from the 'effects' menu or by pressing the 'A' button at bottom right. Then to enter the date and time in, for example, the format: day, month, year, hour, minute, second, enter into the text entry box: %dd% %mm% %yyyy% %hh% %min% %ss% exactly as shown. It doesn't have to be in this order. for instance you could use the month day year format. I find it useful to separate the date and time a little by putting a couple of extra spaces between the date and the time parameters. I hope this helps.

I've tried this but the time in Debut is off by 10-20 minutes. Any ideas how to fix that?

Hello birdbrain56,

Check your 'minutes' Parameter. It should be 'min'. I changed mine to 'mm' and it reproduced your problem.
