gyveri
I've successfully transferred some VHS-C tapes to .avi files using Golden Video. I used the MPEG-$ video encoder that appears to be the default in GV. The resulting .avi files play OK using Windows Media Player on my Windows 7 computer. However, the recordings won't play using the Windows Media Player on my XP-PRO laptop. It says it's looking for a codec, but fails to find one. The sound plays, but no there's no picture. I tried updating to WMP 11 but this didn't help. Still no picture. Where can I find an XP-compatible codec that will play my Golden Video .avi files? Thanks ==gyveri
