Size of captured video

I "captured " 100 mins of VHS recording and was astounded to discover that the file size was 20GB plus. As I wanted to burn this family VHS recording to DVD this now seems impossible. Has anyone got any idea what I have done wrong or is this size file correct?

Help Please....note I am not a technocrat so I assume I have messed up somehow.

Hi Larry

I also noticed that but when you record it to the DVd it seems to compress it, and everything turned out OK.

Try one and see, for the cost of one disc it is worth it.

Maybe try on a DVD-RW if you dont want to waste a disc.

I have decided to use a different s/w package called easy cap, which came with my capture device. It is easier to use and gives a better frame capture rate so no jerkiness!

Thanks for you advice any way
