Prism Video file converter

I recently downloaded the Prism Video File Converter program. I downloaded a file from the Ares Filesharing program which was in mpg format, i coverted the file from mpg to avi and the disc will play only in my computer but will not play in my dvd player. Does anybody know what i need to do to be able to get my disc's to play in my dvd player?

Well first you'll have to see what kind of codecs your dvd player can read then you can convert it to that codec. For example if it reads Divx then on Prism on Encoder Options you would have to select the last option. Now if it doesn't read any kind of codecs then you'll have to convert the file to a dvd format.
