I have just installed the professional version of debut software, and it is unable to see my built in webcam. The webcam works in Microsoft camera app. Debut tells me that the video/sound source is unplugged, and that it is unable to connect with the device.

My webcam obviously registers, but when I press record it says :"Failed to connect device."

On the paid version can you move the box around from the bottom right to the bottom left? Can you make yourself a little larger. The preset has quite a tiny viewing area. OBS won't work on my new computer. I'm enraged by that and lost a whole day of my life to trying to fix it but I can't. Debut seems to be a good solution, but I don't like being told where and how big my webcam area is. DOES the Paid version let YOU adjust the Size? The Location?

Hello there! New here today. I have used the free version of Debut linked to a webcam as a basic CCTV. Fine, great playback, excellent even, but... WMP only has one 'fast forward' speed and that is so slow. So, two questions please. Can I use, on Debut settings somewhere, a motion detection utility to save me from having a lot of video? Is there a feature or NCH program [ I have Videopad also ] someone can recommend that I can swap the video over into and fast forward at a much greater rate please? I did try Videopad but the download from one to the other is very slow and, I don't know if I can fast forward or just edit. Help! Thank you in advance. Enjoy your day! Eddie.

Using Version 4.09. When recording with the webcam in overlay (inset in the bottom right corner) it keeps coming and going. When recording solely the webcam it is perfect. Any ideas? Thanks

I've already recorded a few videos with the camera overlay but it recently started crashing when I tried to move it into a different corner. I unplugged it and Debut ran just fine, but the second I plug in the webcam, the whole thing crashes.

I have an Aspire 6930 Windows Vista laptop. Using the Crystal Eye camera I downloaded Debut Video Capture in January but it now stops recording after about 90 seconds. I get a window that states: Unable to record. Encoder error: check encoder options - I never had that problem before. Having looked at the encoder options I do not see anything wrong but something might have changed without me knowing(?) This is why I downloaded NCH Debut Video Capture today, thinking it would correct the problem but it doesn't record at all. I have an Aspire 6930 Windows Vista. Any suggestions?

After starting in webcam mode, I want to switch to screensaver of my own graphics files, but when I try to switch, recording stops. Instaawed of screensaving, can I just tell the soft ware to import my file? For a beamer presentation, can I keep talking and recording while clicking through the slides?

I what to create a video using a powerpoint presentation and a webcam recording. I can create the powerpoint presentation, it is easy, just use the screen feature of Debut. I can create a video using a webcam with Debut device. But what I haven't found how to do is to create a recording having the ppt and webcam at the same time. Can anyone show me how this can be done with Debut. I can do it with screencast-o-matic, but I want to know if Debut produces better quality videos. Sincerely, Luis Antonios

Is there any way to zoom the camera using debut? I found a zoom option under Options > Devices > Device Settings > Camera Control but its not selectable. Is there something I have to do first or do only certain webcams work with it? What am I missing? I appriciate any tips or other ways to zoom.
