Hi I'm using VideoPad 7.34 I found many post on this forum abount cropping issues, black bands and so on but I have not found a solution. My purpose is very simple: I want to crop a video (applying a crop rectangle static filter) and then export the video with that new size. I don't want to upscale, downscale, zoom, scretch to aspect, adapt to 16:9 or optimazing it for youtube. When I apply a crop filter the "Auto match content" feature always detect the original size and not the new cropped size. It's possible to reach this goal without use another processing tool? It is impossible to disable autonormalize in VideoPad 1) videopad ALWAYS normalizes in export 2) videopad ALWAYS normalizes in "Save Linked audio clip as new file" options in settings dlalog box does not have any effect Can you please tell me how it is possible to disable autonormalize via settings file or via registy??

Hi, I'm editing a video clip for an upcoming family event, and suddenly I gets black screen on the Sequence Preview tab. I can hear the audio , but cannot see the video. I'm working with 4 video tracks and I can see the preview for track 4 only. Please help 🙏 Aviram

Where can I find the release notes for versions of Videopad? I bought the Master Version 11.20 just 12 months ago, now it is at version 13.67, where can I find the differences to decide if it is worth me paying an additional us$60 for the latest release? Secondly, I have the 32 bit installed (was that the default version?) I have a 64 bit laptop so Can I get the 64 bit version of 11.20 and reinstall using my existing licence key? thanks in advance.

Videopad ver= 13.16 Instructions from nch indicate go to effects, video effects, use CHROMAKEY --there is NO CHROMAKEY in the video effects? I want a jpg image in background of the video (replacing mp4 background) Suggestions?

When it shows me a prompt to update i clicked on it, then it did not complete the update because i had other tabs on apperently, and now i cant find where to update the app. also i have not update the software in a while so my version is 11.7 or something like that, is that causing the issue?

Hi, I'm new to Video Pad. I like it. I'm learning and I tried a couple different export settings to see how they work. H264 and MP4 work no problem with my computer and new Samsung TV. However, H265/.mp4 wouldn't work with the TV. Even though the Samsung manual says "H.265 - Main, Main10" should work. It even froze the TV for a while. Just some feedback. Not the end of the world since I can use H264. -
I'm interested in purchasing videopad but I notice when I download the trial version it's a beta and I can't seem to find an option for selecting the latest stable version so my question is if I purchase your software will the download that I receive be a stable version? Or will I be paying to use this beta version? Please clarify this for me thank you.

I just downloaded the Videopad free software. I am able to import mp4 and mp3 files, however, when trying to add the mp4 to the video track or trying to preview it, the video does not play. Instead, the preview screen is just black. Please help.

Using Videopad - very intuitive and user friendly, thanks - but finding that when I add an audio file (in this case an MP3 of a song) it plays back sounding very compressed compared to the original I added. That typical overly-squashed sound that too much compression causes. Any ideas how I maintain the exact sound quality of the original MP3 so it sounds the same when added to the video? Is there a default compression level that videopad applies to the audio file when I add it, which I can change or preferably disable?

So I'm editing another project in VideoPad 11.45 and I added an Old Film effect to a text box and turned off shaking. That broke the preview. Found out that the Old Film effect with shaking turned OFF actually just doesn't work anymore. Here's a link to a video I took of the bug happening, although it can be replicated very easily. This is one of several bugs I've encountered in the last few versions and honestly it's getting on my nerves how many effects don't work if you just do something slightly different to the clip. I just recently had to buy another key because the one I bought back in August expired... I guess. If these types of bugs persist, I'm finding another editor. This one just isn't cutting it anymore, sorry.

Good morning; I have a question for the experts here :) We've been making videos for a few years and we are trying VideoPad right now. The software seems good enough and it's ideal for beginners. The latest 64 Bit version works okay for us, and it's a reasonable price too, though the taxes hurt a little when buying it in UK. It's hard to convey the problems here but we want to make a grid of mini videos. A few seconds of six or twelve mini videos in a grid, for intros. Obviously this will be the split screen effect (grids), but it isn't quite working for us in VideoPad. Obviously the effect works but we are doing it all wrong, because we end up with big gaps when we actually want all the mini videos close together. On a side note, we installed VP on a spare Optiplex 790, 16 GB RAM, Win 10 Pro, with an i7 2600 @ 3.40. Also an SSD. It works though it struggles at times. But it's worth adjusting Windows 10 settings and we've given priority tasking to Videopad. Disclaimer, people should know what they're doing before messing with settings - just thought that was important to remember. Moreover, we resize our images and videos down to manageable megabytes, which helps Videopad to cope. I'd think the same would apply to any video editing software. Cheers and have a good Easter.

Previously using v10.47 of videopad and I had created a video from screen captures and mobile phone footage. The sound was fine. After upgrade to v11.38 [ ABOUT:Videopad v11.38 64bit Mar 28 2022 18:26:49 ] the sound was distorted. Initially I down graded to v10.47 and all worked again. Check in the community there were issues previous fixed by: - v10.84, open OPTIONS | MEDIA tab and UNcheck the box that reads: Automatically normalize audio volume of external audio/video files. Close VP. Relaunch VP. This did not help. I downloaded and installed an older version - V11.34 and this did not cause issues with the sound. Rather than use vpsetup.exe .. I downloaded and installed the file from the oldversions. videopad-11-38-2022-03-29-64bitpaid.exe [ ABOUT: Videopad v11.38 64bit Mar 28 2022 18:42:58 ] This file states a different time to the software installed using vpsetup.exe. Loaded from... http://www.oldversiondownload.com/oldversions/videopad-11-38-2022-03-29-64bitpaid.exe Note: Date 2022-03-29 on file . Not 28th as in 'About' menu. The sound on the video is now working as before.

Hi. I have just spent 6 hours creating and recreating a project, installed and uninstalled different versions of VideoPad over 20 times, including uninstalling with RevoUninstaller, rebooted, tried all possible formats and export settings, and my video is still exporting broken. A certain broken part of the video plays and replays 2 or 3 times instead of playing until the end. The whole thing worked fine until today. I'm quite desperate though because I need the content asap. I need an .mp4 file encoded with H.264 . Please help. -
Well, I'm here in 2021 and using VP 5.11 and I can't sync my videos. These are videos uploaded from DVDs - both commercial ones and home-made ones. Mostly I just want to put my video collection onto one big drive. For short videos the problem isn't apparent. But for any video over about 30 minutes the video lag is obvious and painful to watch. The thing is, both the video and audio track line up at the start and end, so I can't figure out what is going on. It's all very well discussing versions, formats, video and audio cards etc. This ought to work absolutely fine in any half-decent computer from about 2013 onward, frankly. If there is an obvious fix, please, somebody hit me with it, but otherwise I'm just going to start asking around for better software. If I have to pay for an upgrade then I'm just going to shop around, 6 month grace or not. This all just damages confidence in the product.

So, i have Videopad 10.64 and i wanted to insert subtitles in a 10 minutes clip, why is the auto generate subtitles not working? I have selected Microsoft English recognizer 5.1 as Speech to text engine, but it doesn't seem to be working. Anyone knows how this function works? Thanks.

Sound and waveform not synchronized Quite disabling to my work. On the sound tract that reads: ". . epidermis is the outer layer of skin that overlies that deeper layer of skin . ." The whole word "epidermis" is heard BEFORE its waveform begins. The video has been edited with a number of splitting, deletion and speed change. The asynchrony cannot be a hardware or driver problem because if the video (exported from VideoPad) is played in WAVEPAD, the sound and waveform are perfectly synchronized. Also, playing back the same original wmv file in VideoPad without any editing (splitting etc), the sound and waveform are also well synchronized. WH Kwong

Every time I use the zoom effect on a clip, it stretches the video clip to make it fit. (So it won't have the black bars I guess.) However, it looks really weird and I don't mind having the black bars anyway. I can't seem to turn it off though and I cannot find any info online. I keep messing with the aspect ratio but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

When I operate my video and audio equipment, it works in the space it's in. When I take the captured raw video for editing, I always need to raise the audio level, between 150 and 300%. This isn't difficult and I am almost automatic in my execution. My issue is that the sound visualization is almost a flat line. Thus when I need to edit based on sound, the visual for breaks is very difficult to find. Could we add a 'zoom' feature to the audio visualization? I'm not asking to see a smaller timeline, but a taller waveform.

When I updated my Videopad to the most recent version, whenever I export a video, it causes the video to flash between various clips when there is a cut. I changed the setting of the exports, but it does not seem to help. How do I fix this?

The user interface to VideoPad needs serious improvement. Considering my time learning the software, the subscription costs for this and other NCH products, and the project files and video products I've created, I'm beginning to wonder if this tool represents my real world example of the "sunk cost fallacy".

When I applied video effects on my video specifically denoising to clean up, my video started lagging, stuttering and all of the above I mentioned in the title. I really don't like this, why is this!? I wish this wasn't so. Only a part of the selected clip was eventually able to play with the denoise effect the rest Zero, i.e that's where the inconsistencies started: lagging, stuttering, blackscreen, e.t.c. Secondly I found out that in the simple text overlay template in videopad in the "Add Text" button, I was unable to change the font size from 20 to another figure after several attempts of trying to, I was only able to do so when I used another text layout/template. The former is more important for me though right now. PS: I thought Videopad supported average system requirements.
